The Log House
At VELUX we were also very excited to be involved with the Log House Company. Since our first meeting in December 2007 with the company MD, Michael Balls, it has been fantastic to work on a project that is focussed on sustainability and the environment. VELUX were heavily involved with the Log House Company on the design of the Log House that was featured in the Grand Village section of the show and were delighted to provide a number of VELUX Roof Windows and Solar Collectors.
We believe natural light is fundamental to the quality of our lives and living environments. More than any other element, its many moods and variations can help you make a house a real home. Not only does it create an atmosphere, it can actually alter the way we feel about living spaces.
During the initial design and planning stages, a number of options were proposed for the Log House and these can be viewed below. The finished version of the Log House that featured at Grand Designs Live London differed slightly, although you can see below that the outcome was very impressive.
